1. LOG IN VIA ADESA.COM

• Enter your user ID and password.


IF YOU ARE NOT YET REGISTERED:
• Click on the REGISTER NOW button on ADESA.com.
• Complete and submit the online registration form; Customer Connection will then contact you to complete your registration information.



NOTE: If you are associated with multiple dealerships, a pop up screen will ask you to select a dealership.

Listing vehicles

1. LISTING VEHICLES

• Click on SELL on the main navigation bar.









• Enter a VIN in the QUICK SEARCH box located on the main navigation bar on the right.
• Then select CREATE LISTING from the drop down menu.

Enter vehicle details

2. ENTER VEHICLE DETAILS

• Provide detailed listing information in the fields provided.
• Some fields will be populated based on our VIN decoder.

NOTE: You should verify this information and enter those attributes that were not populated by our system, such as interior and exterior colors.

TIP: For sellers that are serious about selling a vehicle, the more detail you include the better your chances are for attracting bidders and selling your vehicles faster.

Select vehicle options

3. SELECT VEHICLE OPTIONS

• Add additional vehicle information for buyers to view.
• Standard options are automatically selected when a VIN is entered.
• Features can be added or removed.

NOTE: If there is specific information on your vehicle that you would like to call out to buyers, you may add in the ADDITIONAL VEHICLE INFORMATION section which will be displayed to buyers on the VEHICLE DETAILS PAGE.

4. ENTER VEHICLE LOCATION

• Your dealership name, location and contact information are pre-populated.
• You can also enter a new location or change to another previously stored location.

5. ENTER VEHICLE CONDITION

• You can provide specific details for your listings, including condition and damage, prior paintwork and tire size.

NOTE: Be sure to select the vehicle listing category most appropriate for the unit. Include as many additional comments as possible for potential buyers to view.

NOTE: To view the definition of each vehicle listing category, click on the question mark icon next to the fields.

NOTE: You may also add comments about the specific condition of your vehicle in the INSPECTION COMMENTS box which will be displayed to the buyer on the VEHICLE DETAILS PAGE.

Upload vehicle images

6. UPLOAD VEHICLE IMAGES

• To enhance your listing you can add images.
• Add one photo at a time, or use the MULTI-PICTURE UPLOADER to drag and drop multiple images at once.

Add images to damage lines

7. ADD IMAGES TO DAMAGE LINES

• It is simple to add an uploaded image to a damage line.
• To add images, click on the camera icon. Select the photo you want to add from your uploaded images.
• Apply that image to any of the damage items you have listed.

• BLACK BOOK® National Wholesale Average value for your vehicle is displayed for your convenience.

Enter pricing, preview and release to auction

2. ENTER PRICING, PREVIEW AND RELEASE TO AUCTION

• Finally you will enter pricing.
• Add your START, RESERVE and/or BUY NOW pricing for your listing.
• You can also choose to receive offers, set the best offer limit price or add any incentives for buyers.
• Once you are satisfied with your listing, accept the listing terms and click RELEASE TO AUCTION.

Seller Performance Panel — How To Guides


Seller Performance Panel Overview

A better way to manage your wholesale operations

ADESA.com provides sellers with the ability to monitor key indicators related to their online sales perfromance, using the Seller Performance Panel. These performance indicators provide an assessment of your own performance along with comparisons to industry benchmarks. Performance reports are available to view online and can be exported as Excel files.

NOTE: Currently, the Seller Performance Panel is only applicable on vehicles not being sold from physical auction locations.

NOTE: Effective July 2013, for users associated to more than one organization, you will be prompted to choose an organization at your first log in. This will set the default for all subsequent logins. Users can change the default organization by accessing MY ADESA in the main navigation and then SITE PREFERENCES in the sub-navigation bar.

Understand the performance panel

3. UNDERSTAND THE PERFORMANCE PANEL

The performance indicators on this screen provide an assessment of your own performance along with comparisons to industry benchmarks.

NOTE: For comparisons to industry standards, note the stars on the screen. The stars displayed next to a data point on the PERFORMANCE PANEL are indicators of how your performance ranks relative to industry benchmarks, with three stars representing the best performance.

NOTE: Data for the PERFORMANCE PANEL is updated only once daily. The date and time of the last update is shown on the bottom right corner of the page.

NOTE: Information from the last six months is available from the Performance Panel, including:
• Units listed for sale (total)
• Total sales
• Sales rate
• Average time to title/registration (with T/A and Balloon Notes separated out)
• Number of titles/registrations not yet received by ADESA
• Success rate (the percent of sales that were not unwound)
• Concession rate (the frequency with which concessions were offered on sales)
• Funds currently due to ADESA

4. ANALYZE YOUR PERFORMANCE

• Export data to an Excel file by clicking on the OPEN WITH EXCEL on the top right of the screen.
• To drill down further on a particular data point, click on any text that appears in a teal font.

NOTE: In this example, 453 units were sold during the month of October 2012.

• To return to previous page, click on the "X" in the top right corner of the pop up box.

NOTE: In this example, the UNITS LIST FOR SALE row leader has been selected, which causes the PERFORMANCE PANEL to gray-out and the definition of UNITES LISTED FOR SALE to display on a pop-up box.

How does it work?

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Ask your inventory management partner to export your inventory to ADESA. Or we will take care of it: Contact your ADESA dealer sales rep or send us an email at pals@adesa.com.
2. Once we have your information, your cars will be automatically loaded to "pending release".
3. Login to ADESA, set the wholesale pricing and release to auction.

Follow these tips to protect your reputation as an online seller

FOLLOW THESE TIPS TO PROTECT YOUR REPUTATION AS AN ONLINE SELLER

• List units with the correct VIN, options and mileage.
• Accurately note any damage, including prior damage that’s been repaired.
• Add pictures of the damaged items, so buyers know what they are getting.
• Avoid double-sold units. Once a bid meets your reserve, remove the vehicle from your "available for sale" lot and lists.
• If you have a vehicle with the title absent, make sure the vehicle is listed that way.
